About Thread the Change

Thread the Change is a fashion show fundraiser for My New Red Shoes and an awareness program about the importance of sustainability and ethical labor practices in the clothing industry. Proceeds from the event will help MNRS to deliver programs that assist Bay Area families facing financial hardship.

The two-hour event will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 3pm to 5pm at Peninsula Golf & Country Club and will feature educational presentations, speakers, a runway show featuring “Quiet Luxury” fashions from local stores, and refreshments. Students from local high schools are leading as event organizers and runway models.

Neha Samdaria

Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Neha Samdaria

Neha Samdaria is the founder of Aam The Label, a sustainable fashion brand for the ~25% of women with fuller hips and thighs than the standard size chart. The Label's pants have a cult following and have been featured in Forbes and Cosmopolitan for their revolutionary fit. While building her supply chain in India during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Neha witnessed the challenges faced by garment workers firsthand. Now, she is committed to advocating for fair labor practices and supply chain transparency. Neha holds an MBA from Stanford and a Bachelor's in Science (Honors) from Caltech.
